Fabulous Facts about Women

International Women’s Day is a celebration of the economic, political and social achievements of women and a time to review how far women have come in their pursuit of peace and equality. So lets have a look at some fabulous facts about women.

  • Drag ourselves into bed at night and wonder why we are so exhausted

Facts about Australian Women

  • Women are at the heart of the small business economy with 668,670 women now running and operating businesses across Australia.
  • Half of all female small business owners with children are solo mumpreneurs, of which 81% work from home.
  • According to recent ABS data, there are now more women than men running businesses in the 33-45-year age bracket.
  • They own almost half of all home-based businesses
  • Setting up business from home is the fastest growing sector in the Australian economy.
  • Women make or influence 80% of all purchasing decisions.
  • Women owned businesses have less external debt and as a result, are more profitable than those owned by men.
